Great customer service! Just started using Terminix due to our plague of ants this year. Great rate to get started and excellent customer service from sales to technician! I’ve already passed the word on to my neighbors.

How Termite Infestations Occur

Termite activity is typically hidden from the sight of homeowners and can go unnoticed for a long time. If termites are able to find a single crack in your home structure, they will enter and wreak havoc without any visible signs to you until real damage is done. Drywood termites enter from above while subterranean and formosan enter from below.

Termite Facts

Termites exist in every weather region of the county. Subterranean termites are the most common termite in the United States with sophisticated colonies that can consume over 100 pounds of wood per year. Termites will continue to feast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so significant damage happens quickly after an infestation.

Frequently Asked Questions

1What do I look for when identifying termites?
There are three different signals that you can use to begin to identify your termite problem. One of the first signs of a termite infestation is winged termites. A termite swarm is the number one sign of a termite problem. You can also look for mud tubes beneath your flooring and fixtures. Finally, tap the wood along walls and baseboards to check for hollow sounds. If you think you may have an infestation, it is always a good idea to call in a specialist to perform an inspection.
2How do I get rid of termites?
Because they’re so resilient, termite pest control can sometimes seem like a losing battle. More than likely, removing a termite infestation will require tent fumigation. This process involves covering your entire home with tarps and introducing a fumigant gas to penetrate wood to control and eradicate an infestation.

Eradicating them using a licensed termite exterminator is always the best option.
